Over the years I have come to understand that true health is so much more than just nutrition and exercise. It’s about bringing into balance all the things that nourish you, not only on a physical level, but also on a mental, emotional and spiritual level. I believe these things include having loving and supportive relationships, finding fulfilling work, having a meaningful spiritual practice and doing things that bring you joy!
My passion is working one-on-one with people to help them form an action plan which gets them back to feeling healthy and vibrant! I specialize in coaching people who have IBS and other digestive issues, as well as those who suffer from anxiety and stress. I am there every step of the way, celebrating every success, big or small. Sometimes all it takes is a little guidance and support to get on the right track!
I can also work in a supportive role with traditional doctors or even other alternative therapists. There is no need to have to choose between one or the other. As a Health Coach, I will help you put all the pieces of the puzzle together!
I currently offer sessions either via Zoom, Skype or over the phone. I also see clients in person in the Maryland area. I practice out of Healing Circles Wellness in Frederick, MD as well as the Center For Healing Arts in Westminster, MD. I also lead interactive group workshops on a variety of health and wellness topics.

What is Reiki? You may have heard of it, but not know how it works.
Energy flows within the physical body though pathways called meridians or chakras. Sometimes this energy becomes stagnant or blocked due to various reasons that are physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual in nature. This blockage can lead to illness, lack of energy, or just a general sense of not feeling well. Reiki works by allowing energy from a loving universal source to flow through me to the affected parts of the person I am working on. It is an excellent all-purpose tool to help with just about any situation. It can also be used in conjunction with any traditional medical healing plan. Reiki addresses the needs of the person as a whole – mind, body and spirit.
I practice Reiki by putting my hands on a person while they lay fully clothed on a massage-style table or sit in a chair. I work to clear out any blockages and facilitate the flow of energy. Although I prefer a hands-on technique, I realize not everyone is comfortable with this. I can also hover my hands over a person's body to deliver the same results. During our initial session, we will discuss which method you prefer.
Reiki is becoming increasingly popular in the medical community. Over 800 hospitals in the US offer Reiki as a standard part of patient services, often with their own Reiki-trained physicians, nurses, and support staff. Patients who have received Reiki report faster healing with less pain, accelerated recovery from surgery, improved mental attitude, reduced negative effects of medication, and reduced anxiety during procedures.

There are many studies that show the benefits of meditation. It can be used for everything from improving your ability to focus, to stress reduction, even to healing physical and emotional issues. It creates an ability to remain calm even when you feel as though you are surrounded by chaos.
Meditating can be done in as little as two minutes. All you need is a quiet place to relax and breathe! I will help you explore different techniques to find out what works best for you. As with any type of self-care, if you don't enjoy it, you won't do it!
